Hydrogenated vegetable oils

Hydrogenated vegetable oils are oils obtained from vegetable sources that undergo a hydrogenation process. In this process, hydrogen and catalysts are added to transform the liquid oil into a solid or semi-solid form. Hydrogenation makes the oil more stable, increasing its shelf life and giving it a more solid texture.

These oils are widely used in the food industry, in products such as margarine, solid vegetable fats and processed foods.
